LI2Y(St)CY (RS 485)
Product Descriptions
RS-485 is a two-wire serial communication standard defined as EIA/TIA-485. These systems transmit digital data over twisted-pair veins, can travel up to 1220 m without the need for repeaters, can form 32 driver, 32 receiver chains on a single line, and can operate at speeds from 100 kbps (at 1200 m) to 10 Mbps (at 12 m) depending on the length.
Offers superior noise immunity compared to RS-232 thanks to balanced output and differential input; can be used in two-wire or four-wire (full-duplex) network configurations
